Building & Systems Technician
Nexa are proud to continue to partner with a dynamic global diagnostics business who are continuing to achieve fast paced, double digit year on year growth. Currently building a new Centre of Excellence, just South of Berlin they are now seeking a skilled and experienced Building and Systems Technician to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of their facility’s technical systems and external areas. This role is critical in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability of HVAC, electrical, security, and other building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and security systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair technical faults, coordinating with external service providers when necessary.
- Monitor and optimise building systems to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including inspection reports and technical plans.
- Conduct safety and functional checks to comply with legal standards.
- Support with cleaning and maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities, including seasonal tasks like snow clearing and gritting.
- Handle administrative duties such as meter reading and materials management.
- Assist with event preparations and provide transport services as required.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a first aider and fire safety assistant.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completed technical training in a relevant field, such as electronics, HVAC, or mechatronics.
- 10–15 years of experience in building or systems technology, ideally in a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of building services engineering, electrics, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and automation software.
- Additional certifications (e.g., fire protection, TÜV) are a plus.
- Proficiency in IT systems and software.
- Strong manual skills, physical resilience, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent German (written and spoken) required; English proficiency is advantageous.
