Research and Development Manager
Position: R&D Manager – Leading Product Innovation
Are you an experienced R&D professional with a passion for driving innovation and leading high-performance teams? We are looking for a dynamic Research and Development (R&D) Manager to manage and guide a team of talented scientists in developing cutting-edge products that push the boundaries of microbiology and diagnostics. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage an R&D team, ensuring the successful execution of product development initiatives while achieving project goals on time and within budget.
Develop and implement strategies for new product development, as well as enhancing existing product lines to support revenue growth and market diversification.
Oversee laboratory practices, data analysis, and technical protocols to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership, ensuring R&D operations run smoothly and efficiently, with ongoing improvements and recommendations.
Provide technical support as needed, working cross-functionally with operations and application teams to ensure successful product transfer.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree (or PhD) in Microbiology or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and work history.
Experience: Over 10 years of hands-on laboratory and management experience, ideally in microbiological testing, food diagnostics, and product development.
Prior experience leading teams in a managerial capacity, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and statistical software.
Solid understanding of Design Control processes and regulatory compliance requirements in the biotech industry.
Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members, creating a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Key Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present and influence at all levels of the organization.
Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of current trends and market demands in microbiological testing and diagnostic technologies.
